Wein-Pop-up at JÓMO: “Sip and Support” Charity Event Raises Funds for Ukraine

Spread the love

More than four years after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the war continues to take a heavy toll on both civilians and defense forces. In response, Berlin-based restaurant JÓMO in Prenzlauer Berg is hosting “Sip and Support” – a charity wine pop-up on September 5, 2026, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Come Back Alive Foundation, a Ukrainian charity providing equipment, training, medical aid, and humanitarian demining.

Ukrainian Wines Take Center Stage

Guests can taste a curated selection of wines from the Odesa region, produced by acclaimed estates including Kolonist, Frumushika-Nova, Beykush (located directly on the Black Sea coast), and Ace&W by Stakhovsky – founded in 2015 by former Ukrainian tennis star Sergiy Stakhovsky. The lineup showcases the diversity and quality of Ukrainian viticulture, which has gained growing international recognition in recent years.

More Than a Tasting – A Gathering in Solidarity

Beyond the wines, the event offers live music, conversation, and personal stories from Ukraine. Organized jointly by the JÓMO team and Konstantin Bilozaretskyi – a Ukrainian-born product manager and e-commerce expert – the pop-up builds on a successful similar edition held last year.

The beneficiary, Come Back Alive, has been active since 2014, initially responding to the annexation of Crimea. Its work focuses on:

With over UAH 31 billion raised by 2025, it is one of Ukraine’s largest and most impactful charitable foundations.
