Since 34 years the Ebert is existing. This is quite some time for the fast gastronomy in Berlin. They are cooking “gehobene gut bürgerliche Küche”, that translates wrongly to upscale home cooking. They do German dishes carefully prepared.
My son had the porc filets and was satisfied. My wife had game, boar and deer. She said, it was okay.
I had the liver Berlin style. It was cleaned okayish, but cooked to death. It was cutten very uneven so some parts were better, other parts were very hard. A liver should not come like this from the kitchen.
Staff is very nice and helpful. It was not booked out on a Friday night.
I would come back if I am invited by a friend or if everything else is booked. Originally we wanted to go to the Nussbaumerin, but she was booked out. Price wise the Ebert is for their quality good.
