Over 150 fantastic artisanal ice cream shops across Germany, almost 50 in Berlin alone, will present their most unique flavours for just €1.50 from May 8th to 14th, 2025.

Parmigiano with pear jam, Lotus biscuit with chocolate chips, Piña Colada, white chocolate, ginger and lemon zest, strawberry matcha milk, pistachio rose cheesecake, black sesame with golden roasted sesame seeds… These are just some of the exceptional flavours you can enjoy during Gelato Week Germany in the 45 amazing participating ice cream shops across Berlin. During the event, each of these flavours — prepared with special ingredients and often created specifically for the event — will cost just €1.50.
Thanks to the great success of the previous four editions in Berlin from 2020 to 2023 under the name Berlin Ice Cream Week, the event has expanded beyond the capital since 2024, reaching five other regions in Germany: Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rheinland-Pfalz und Hessen, Norddeutschland.
In total, over 150 ice cream shops are involved.
Gelato Week Germany: The Event
The event was created to highlight the quality of artisanal ice cream made with high-quality ingredients. Since 2024, the goal has become even more ambitious: to showcase ice cream shops that truly embody these values across Germany.
From May 8th to 14th, 2025, each ice cream shop will offer its special ice cream flavour for just €1.50. These are unique and creative flavours, usually made specifically for the event using special ingredients and preparations (the complete list of participating ice cream shops and flavours in Berlin can be found here).
The event will take place directly in the participating ice cream shops: to join the event, simply visit one of the participating shops and ask for the special flavour of the event. To navigate through the participating shops, a map of Berlin has been created, which will soon be available in flyer format, listing all of them.
How to Participate in the Stamp Contest
During the event, there will also be a stamp contest: every time they visit a participating ice cream shop, customers will receive a stamp on their the Gelato Week Germany flyer.
Anyone who collects at least three stamps on the map of their region will be eligible to compete for a fantastic prize: the first prize consists of a €100 voucher to spend on ice cream, the second prize will be a €50 voucher, and the third will be a package of delicious Babbi products.
From Germany to the Riviera Romagnola
Gelato Week Germany not only allows you to taste delicious ice cream flavours never tried before, but thanks to the Instagram photo contest, there’s also the chance to win a trip to Italy for two people.
How does it work? To win the trip, you must post a photo of the ice cream on your Instagram profile, using the hashtag #gelatoweekgermany and tagging @gelatoweek_germany in the post. The most creative and original post could become a ticket for two to the Riviera Romagnola!
