The Berlin Parkbühne Wuhlheide in Treptow-Köpenick has been managed by Gastro Team Bremen, an Aramark subsidiary, for several years. The open-air venue is a listed building and has a maximum capacity of 17,000 spectators. After a successful festival season, the team led by operations manager Katrin Vietmeier sums things up: vegetarian and vegan food were most wanted.

This season, we once again delighted many visitors with our gastronomy and we are delighted that the Parkbühne was so well attended. Vegetarian and vegan dishes were the most popular. This shows us that our sustainability concept is working,” explains Katrin Vietmeier, who manages the Parkbühne’s catering with her staff. In addition to chips, burritos with braised port wine mushrooms were the most popular order. 71 percent of the dishes sold were vegetarian, 47 percent of which were vegan. “These are fantastic figures that make us very proud. Sustainability is also a key issue in the festival and concert catering sector, so we are particularly pleased that the vegetarian and vegan options have been so well received,” says Arnd Rune Thomas, CEO of Aramark.

Drinks were of course also in demand; in addition to the classic beer, Erdbeerbowle (strawberry punch) with fresh fruits was offered and very well received. Jörg Voigtländer, director of the Parkbühne Wuhlheide, is also extremely satisfied with the season: “We have a series of successful concerts behind us, which ended with the sold-out festival of ‘Gestört aber Geil’ with 17,000 spectators. A strong partner like Gastro Team Bremen is essential for smooth operations and satisfied guests.”

The open-air stage from the 1950s is unique with its location in the Volkspark Wuhlheide. Following extensive renovation work in the 1990s, it now offers the ideal setting for live entertainment of all kinds. Acts such as Sido and Cro have already been announced for summer 2025.
