SHARE NOW and Mercedes-Benz Rent expand cooperation throughout Germany
Premium vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Rent bookable via SHARE NOW app in Berlin, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg and Munich. Launch in July in time for the summer holidays. Expanded cooperation is part of future product strategy
Europe’s leading free-floating car sharing provider SHARE NOW and premium car rental company Mercedes-Benz Rent are expanding their partnership: After the successful test phase in Berlin, SHARE NOW users can now also book Mercedes-Benz Rent’s premium vehicles via the app in Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Cologne, and soon in Hamburg and Munich. “We are very pleased that we are expanding our cooperation as planned after the successful pilot phase and the positive feedback. The premium models from Mercedes-Benz Rent offer even more flexibility for our customers and are perfect for any summer outing,” says Olivier Reppert, CEO SHARE NOW.
Uncomplicated booking and pick-up
The vehicles are booked via the “Plan a Trip” menu in the SHARE NOW app. In just a few steps, users can book premium models such as the Mercedes-Benz GLB, Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé or Mercedes-Benz E-Class for up to 30 days. The selected model is rented cleaned at the Mercedes-Benz Rent location in the respective city and returned by the customer at the end of the rental period.
New sales partnership for more customer benefits
“For Mercedes-Benz Rent, the cooperation with SHARE NOW, the pioneer of car sharing and digital trailblazer, is an important building block in the sales and digital realignment,” says Ilka Fürstenberger, Board Member Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz Bank. “By connecting further Mercedes-Benz Rent locations to the SHARE NOW app, we are also giving our customers there, in addition to our online booking platform, further, simple and above all digital access to our Mercedes-Benz rental vehicles. By intelligently linking the two products, SHARE NOW customers get the best of both worlds and find the right vehicle for every occasion.”
Cooperation is a building block of SHARE NOW’s future product strategy
By expanding the cooperation, SHARE NOW is responding to the particularly strong demand for premium models for longer trips. At the same time, the cooperation is part of the carsharing company’s expanded product strategy. “At SHARE NOW, we have built an extremely reliable and easily scalable IT infrastructure over the past twelve years. We believe that this ecosystem can be a great operating system for a wide variety of fleet providers and that’s why we want to grow together with strong partners in the long term,” says Slavko Bevanda, Chief Product, Technology & Operations Officer SHARE NOW.
