The extraordinary Bar Fragrances opens in its hidden high garden at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin
The renowned Bar Fragrances is moving for the first time into its hidden high garden on the third floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin for the coming summer weeks. With its lush plantings, The Secret Garden of Fragrances bar creates a green oasis in the open-air urban jungle, with a direct view of the adjacent Sony Center and the spacious Tiergarten Park. Here, award-winning bar manager Peggy Knuth and her team serve aroma- and perfume-based cocktails with a summery interpretation, surrounded by magnolia, rhododendron, perennials and herbs from around the world.
Access to The Secret Garden of Fragrances is only possible with advance reservation and personal escort by hotel staff of The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin. For the summer garden is hidden behind the noble mahogany doors on the hotel corridors of the luxury hotel. The Secret Garden of Fragrances is a real insider tip and thus the perfect place to end the Berlin summer evenings with friends, colleagues or family over a refreshing cocktail or long drink.
All drinks are inspired by herbs, flowers and grasses and are based on a wide variety of spirits as well as homemade syrups and teas. The herbs, fruits and edible flowers growing in the Hochgarten are reflected in the seven signature drinks as well as the seven regularly changing cocktails on the weekly menu. The Berlin perfume manufacturer Frau Tonis Parfum is the inspiration for some selected drinks with its floral scents. The signature drinks include Frau Toni’s Berlin Summer with aquavit, citronella, lime and pink grapefruit, and on the weekly menu Frau Toni’s Berlin Linde based on vodka and lime blossom tea with jasmine, lemon and honey. In addition, fine champagnes, selected spirits and a selection of in-house gins, exclusively offered in collaboration with Deutsche Spirituosenmanufaktur only at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin, are served. Non-alcoholic cocktails, wines as well as soft drinks round off the drinks menu at The Secret Garden of Fragrances.
The food concept at The Secret Garden of Fragrances from the kitchen of The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is also inspired by summer. Small dishes such as buffalo ricotta from Brandenburg with Inca tomato and rocket, beef tartare with mustard ice cream and wild herbs, or a classic garden salad with shrimp or chicken harmonize ideally with the summery drinks.
