This cantonese Restaurant is one of our favorites. They are a real Chinese restaurant. Always a bit rude, but they mean it friendly. Fits well to Berlin. As cantonese they have a good selection of Dim Sum, but also good cantonese dishes. This restaurant could be also in Manhattans China Town.
Cafe Einstein is a very old coffeeshop and restaurant chain in Berlin. Their “Stammhaus” is in Kurfürstenstrasse (don’t confuse with Kurfürstendamm!). They are Austrians and offer Austrian Specialities in a high quality at an acceptable price. Coffee is in any branch good. “Unter den Linden” is the main touristic road that leads from Brandenburger Gate to the Museum Island and passes most historical places.
Since the reunification Berlins Restaurant scene became tremendous good and is now the leading in Germany. Gusto – besides the Michelin and Gault Millau a reliable guide – published now his 2020 rankings of the best restaurants in Germany.
Great pleasure in the “Pots” in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Potsdamer Platz.
I don’t usually go to five-star hotels for dinner. Usually the cuisine is not as good as you might think at that price. And the drink prices are off. As I always pay for our restaurant visits myself and we often go out, the price is also important.
Everything is different in Pots. The prices are normal, but the cuisine is going towards Michelin stars. In the 2020 Gusto Guide POTS got 6.5 pans, which means about one Michelin star. And i would fully agree with it.
A restaurant mainly visited by Chinese. Good sichuan cuisine. Inexpensive.

Diekmann is a former “Tante Emma Laden” (Cold store) that performs now Fine Dining.
We like this Hamburger Steak house chain. Hamburger means in this case coming from Hamburg.
Since 34 years the Ebert is existing. This is quite some time for the fast gastronomy in Berlin. They are cooking “gehobene gut bürgerliche Küche”, that translates wrongly to upscale home cooking. They do German dishes carefully prepared.
Looking for a good place near Potsdamer Platz we found the Josef Roth Diele and their Käsespätzle. (Cheese Noodles)
