Ali Baba is a very old place and the only one that survived from my youth with 1 Mark Pizza. It wa svery popular to a piece of Pizza for one Mark. Now it is 1.5 €, still a good deal. Nothing changed in Ali Baba the last 40 years.

Opposite of the Hotel Palace is the Bikini House, an alternative mall. They also have a food court where you can get everything what is fashionable. More for restaurant prices than food court prices. We looked around but all the dishes looked little professional. Very trendy, but no Handwerk (technical knowledge). We decided for Ramen.
German food in a friendly restaurant. Inexpensive.
When it comes to Pizza 🍕 , I am a traditionalist. I want Italian pizza. A bit good Mozzarella, tomato sauce and may be some herbs on a crusty dough. When I go first time, I order Magherita as the “cooks” could ruin less. I would never order Pizza Hawai.
As a German I have a big desire to eat a crispy goose with Rotkohl and Klössen (Red cabbage and potato dumplings) a la Grandma.
Manzini is an old place at Pariser Strasse next to Uhlandstrasse. It had always very nice service. It’s a bit pricier than the neighbours, but worth it!
It was the first place where we went with our baby boy. He was just one month. We had a very tasty breakfast at 2.30 p.m. In Berlin you can eat very late breakfast.
Breakfast was very good, Coffee too!
And our baby was fine with it too.
Until December 15th we had a privileged life living directly by the sea in a 400 sqm pool villa on an artificial island. Our house was a dream and we loved the warm sea.
